These guides explain a straightforward step by step process for planning and conducting a field trip, including what activities to do before, during and after the field trip. To demonstrate the field trip planning process, we used an example of a field trip to collect pebbles from a beach for a rock identification activity.  The guides can easily be adapted for any subject or type of field trip.
